Pulse

  • Doing a music interview today with Japan magazine Hulalea for their upcoming anniversary issue. Hope Kailua beach is sunny for the shoot.
  • Recording an instrumental artist.  Peaceful guitar work.  Using a D.I. and mic on the Martin through a Giltronic pre.  Nice blend.
  • Coming to the end of my editing nightmare.  Remind me to tell the people doing the v/o to do it right the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th time.
  • I am creating my new CD by recording all my live performances.  I love the energy the "live" feel brings.
  • I applied and was just awarded a grant to write my book on Hawaiian songwriters and their impact.  Iʻm so excited.
  • Someone requested a song. I told her to come and sing it. Her response was, "I couldnʻt carry a tune, even if it had handles on it."
  • As a member of the Grammys, I took advantage of their free dental offer today.  What a great organization to take care of members.
  • Recorded my solo gig tonight using the Apogee Ensemble into my Garage Band and Quicktime Pro. Quality is killer.
  • BTW the Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard is wonderful.  I love the upgrades.
  • I havenʻt had time to write lately, but I will do so after this week is over.  Iʻll have breathing room.
